Columbia River Power Marathon
A powerful experience - from the surging waters of the Mighty Columbia to the peaceful voice of the High Desert.


  • The only Oregon marathon crossing the Columbia River via McNary Dam.
    Retraces a portion of the route taken by Lewis & Clark.
  • Retraces a portion of the route taken by Lewis & Clark.
  • Run in the pristine eastern Oregon environment (although we did talk
    about the fact that running on 730 might not be pristine).


 
 
  • Offers the potential to see a variety of fauna including Canadian
    geese, swans widgeon, pelicans, white tailed deer; and fall foliage including
    that of big sage, bitter brush.

  • Experience the unique glacial geology of the Columbia River Plateau.
